Irish Money Laundering Bill (2009) - just published

According to recent press reports, the new Criminal Justice (Money Laundering) Bill 2009 has just been published.

In the words of Dermot Aherne, the
Minister for Justice, the new bill is being published "to ensure full compliance with all of the requirements of the EU Directive and with the recommendations of the FATF". The intention is that the Irish anti-money laundering regime will be "second to none".

A good time for our friends in Ireland to consider how
KYCnet may be able to help meet these requirements in an efficient, transparent, consistent and very cost-effective way.
